A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding Specialist - Surgery (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes according to coding conventions and guidelines
• Maintain 95% accuracy on quality reviews and adhere to productivity standards
• Facilitate positive relationships with medical staff and assist in training other coders

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate degree in a health-related field preferred
• One year of outpatient coding experience in an acute care hospital preferred
• Certifications such as CCA, CPC, CCS, or RHIT preferred
• Knowledge of coding guidelines and compliance regulations
• Ability to work independently and remotely
