Job Summary
An IT business services company is seeking a Remote Outpatient Coding Trainer.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Create and produce outpatient coding training and education content for external and internal clients
- Deliver training and education in a classroom setting or in a web-based environment
- Provide assistance in all aspects of LexiCode’s Coder Development Program (CDP) including ongoing curriculum and materials assessment, development and updates for all record types
Qualifications for this position include:
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P credential from AHIMA
- Demonstrated proficiency coding outpatient record types, with focus on complex surgical CPT
- Knowledge of various reimbursement models
- 5 or more years of outpatient coding experience in an acute care hospital setting
