Job Summary
A staffing agency is seeking a Remote Outpatient Medical Coder.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Reading and interpreting medical records
- Understanding medical terminology to correctly code medical records
- Accurately coding outpatient medical records
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of recent outpatient coding experience
- 2 years of current production coding experience in multiple specialties in the outpatient setting
- Ability to code at a level of no less than 97% accuracy
- Extensive knowledge of outpatient coding, coding guidelines, official coding resources and disease processes
- Knowledge of medical terminology and usage
- Coders must have knowledge of broad range of references
- Two years of experience with common office software
- Must maintain company-required certifications
