Remote Outpatient Medical Coder

Job Summary

A university is filling a position for a Remote Outpatient Medical Coder.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Identify and abstract all pertinent information
• Extract, review and analyze clinical information
• Translate data into appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and other specialized codes

Required Skills:

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Clinical Coding Specialist (CCS) or an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology
• Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills and a high level of concentration
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office for work tasks
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision
