Job Summary

A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Outpatient Profee Coder.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Reviewing and verifying medical record documentation to ensure completeness and accurate assignment of codes per official guidelines
• Coding primary diagnosis, co-morbidities, complications, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, supplies, materials, injections, drugs, modifiers, and units of service etc.
• Performing any other coding specific to the client

Qualifications Include:

• Must be able to maintain 97%+ accuracy
• 3 years of recent outpatient coding experience in multiple specialties
• Must hold and maintain one of the below coding certifications: AHIMA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, AAPC, CPC, or COC
• Extensive knowledge of outpatient coding, coding guidelines, official coding resources and disease processes
• Must be able to satisfy the eligibility requirements for obtaining a government issued security clearance
