Job Summary
We are looking for an outreach professional whose strong organizational skills, social media expertise, and talent for online engagement are matched by an advocacy for community health and/or senior health and by a knack for orchestrating successful collaborative projects.
Working virtually, and in close partnership with other PlaneTree Health Library staff, this person will:
Manage social media outreach for PlaneTree Health Library (including analyzing performance);
Maintain our community events calendar;
Assist with content and editorial work on our monthly e-newsletter;
Promote and support public programs (managing advance registrations, assist during webinars, and handling follow-up contacts);
Work with the Executive Director and PlaneTree Health Library staff to turn strategic priorities into action plans, and successfully implement them; and
Assist with various administrative tasks (e.g., maintain a relationship management database, set up organizational processes and workflows) as assigned.
This position is part-time, non-exempt (hourly), up to 20 hours/week on a somewhat flexible schedule and in a virtual work environment (Pacific Time Zone). Pay is $20-$25/hour, depending on experience.
PlaneTree Health Library, free and open to the public, has been providing people in the South Bay Area communities with health information for over three decades. Now totally online, our collections have a special focus on the health care concerns of people in our local communities (Santa Clara County/Silicon Valley, California) and on aging well, senior caregiving, and later life issues.
PlaneTree Health Library has a small staff of 3 people; all who work virtually. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and an equal-opportunity employer.
