Job Summary
A patent and trademark research company has an open position for a Remote Patent Analyst Engineer in Evanston.
Must be able to:
- Conduct patent search projects to expected quality levels
- Understand invention disclosures in their technical area
- Construct and execute appropriate search strategies
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and work experience in Material Engineering / Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- Technical understanding of the invention disclosure, and identification of search focus
- Skills in constructing and executing patent searches using various search engines
- Critical thinking skills to analyze found results and completing a search report
- Patent law, legal experience
- Patent search or research experience – i.e., familiarity with search engines
