Job Summary

A company that makes cheese not sourced from animal proteins has a current position open for a Remote Patent Attorney.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Overseeing and directing the company’s intellectual property strategy
• Developing creative, strategic patent portfolios
• Managing outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications

Qualifications Include:

• PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology or a related biotechnology, biomedical or other life science discipline
• JD from an accredited U.S. law school (or the equivalent)
• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• 5 years of law firm and/or corporate legal department experience
• Experience drafting and prosecuting biological patent applications
