Job Summary

A healthcare organization has a current position open for a Remote Patient Connection Authorization Associate in Atlanta.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Contacting a physician’s office staff for additional information about the visit; i.e. demographics, correct insurance, or authorization
• Obtaining pre-certification or pre-authorization prior to scheduled service being performed, and notifies payer of admission if required
• Acting as a liaison with physicians and physician office staff to obtain additional demographic, insurance or clinical information

Qualifications Include:

• High School graduate or GED
• Two (2) yrs exp in Healthcare Revenue Cycle or related healthcare experience
• At least three (3) years of previous related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience within precertification/authorization experience
• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association, or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative
• Skill and ability in Microsoft Office applications, knowledge, and familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT codes
