Job Summary

A Bay Area hospital and health system is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Patient Financial Clearance Representative I.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Completing insurance verification, eligibility and benefit determination process
• Contacting patient as appropriate to obtain correct and updated information when necessary
• Completing Medicare Secondary Questionnaire as appropriate

Qualifications Include:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years working knowledge of patient registration and insurance verification and authorization processes in a medical organization
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Demonstrated communication, customer relations, and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
• Ability to complete work efficiently and problem solve independently
