Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Financial Counselor I - Remote to educate and assist patients with payment options and financial arrangements for healthcare services, working full-time with a schedule of 8 AM - 5 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients and insurance companies, coordinating patient care with clinics
• Verify accounts are ready for billing with adequate documentation within established time frames
• Educate patients about payment options and financial assistance, and collect payments over the phone

Required Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of related experience required
• Ability to work 8 AM - 5 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday
• Bilingual preferred
• General knowledge of HIPAA, medical insurance regulations, and terminology
• Proficient in computer software like MS Word, Excel, and automated billing systems
