Job Summary

A private, non-profit academic medical center has a current position open for a Remote Patient Service Representative.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Communicating with patients and staff using phone calls, online chats, emails, faxes or mail
  • Answering and resolving patient inquires
  • Using a computerized scheduling system to schedule/reschedule appointments

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • OR Associate degree or equivalent plus at least 1 year related work experience or
  • OR High School diploma/GED plus 2 years medical office or call center work experience
  • Ability to understand and be fluent in medical terminology
  • Ability to explain complicated healthcare issues to patients
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
