Job Summary
A private, non-profit academic medical center has a current position open for a Remote Patient Service Representative.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Communicating with patients and staff using phone calls, online chats, emails, faxes or mail
- Answering and resolving patient inquires
- Using a computerized scheduling system to schedule/reschedule appointments
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Bachelor's degree
- OR Associate degree or equivalent plus at least 1 year related work experience or
- OR High School diploma/GED plus 2 years medical office or call center work experience
- Ability to understand and be fluent in medical terminology
- Ability to explain complicated healthcare issues to patients
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
