Remote Payment Posting Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Remote Payment Posting Representative will process electronic and manual payment postings to patient accounts, manage billing and collection activities, and collaborate with payers for payment information.

Key responsibilities:

• Process payments, adjustments, claims, and refunds accurately and timely while coordinating with other staff members
• Reconcile and pursue account balances, working with payor remits and facility contracts to ensure maximum reimbursement
• Research payments and denials to identify discrepancies and make necessary appeals and corrections

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
• Minimum of 2 years of patient financial services or revenue cycle experience
• At least 1 year of previous payment posting experience
• Strong knowledge of common office software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision
