Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Remote Payment Posting Specialist will perform payment application functions for customers, including manual and electronic payment entry, deposit verification, daily reconciliation, and posting payment corrections.
Key responsibilities
- Perform manual and electronic payment entry and deposit verification
- Conduct daily reconciliation and investigate variances in payment postings
- Post payment corrections as needed to ensure accurate financial records
Required qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of medical or healthcare-related payment entry experience or equivalent accounting experience
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Thorough understanding of Windows operating system environments and Office tools, particularly Word and Excel
- Knowledge of medical billing and insurance terminology is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from a payer is preferred
