Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Remote Payment Posting Specialist will perform payment application functions for customers, including manual and electronic payment entry, deposit verification, daily reconciliation, and posting payment corrections.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform manual and electronic payment entry and deposit verification
  • Conduct daily reconciliation and investigate variances in payment postings
  • Post payment corrections as needed to ensure accurate financial records
Required qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year of medical or healthcare-related payment entry experience or equivalent accounting experience
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Thorough understanding of Windows operating system environments and Office tools, particularly Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of medical billing and insurance terminology is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from a payer is preferred
