Remote Payroll Accountant

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Remote Payroll Accountant will manage payroll-related reconciliations, validate tax postings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure labor cost accuracy within a mission-driven organization.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations for payroll-related general ledger accounts
• Reconcile timekeeping data from Oracle Maestro and Deltek Costpoint to ensure labor reporting integrity
• Support government compliance by ensuring labor transactions adhere to cost accounting standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 2-4 years of accounting experience with exposure to payroll or labor accounting
• Strong understanding of payroll accounting and general ledger processes
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions for analyzing large data sets
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
