Remote PCB Design Engineer
Job Summary
Designing and creating printed circuit board (PCB) layouts, the contractor-level Remote PCB Design Engineer will work full-time in a remote capacity, collaborating with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure that all specifications and requirements are met while managing the PCB design process.
Key responsibilities
- Place and route components on PCBs to meet electrical and physical specifications
- Develop and generate drawings and documentation for PCB fabrication and assembly
- Rework PCB designs based on engineering changes and assist the design team with solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with 2 years of experience, or at least 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience with ECAD software applications, preferably Siemens Xpedition
- Knowledge of PCB design technologies and layout techniques
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC for design and ASME/ANSI for documentation
- Ability to create component ECAD library footprints and schematic symbols as needed
