Job Summary

A developer of speech recognition applications needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Pediatric Inpatient Coder.

Must be able to:

  • Review Medical Records to identify pertinent diagnoses
  • Abstract appropriate information from the medical record
  • Solicit clarification from the physician regarding ambiguous or conflicting documentation

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • 1 year acute Care Hospital Trauma I/II experience
  • Strong Pediatric experience
  • Extensive knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS coding principles and guidelines
  • Understands medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, and pharmacology
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • 1 year: 3M/Epic experience
