Remote Pediatric Medical Coder

Job Summary

To support a growing pediatric practice, the full-time Remote Pediatric Medical Coder will review patient records and clinical documentation to assign standardized codes for diagnoses and procedures, ensuring accurate reimbursement in a fully remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and code patient records, ensuring compliance with coding standards and maintaining a 95% accuracy rate
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve documentation queries and improve revenue cycle practices
• Audit coding quality and participate in regular updates to maintain compliance with coding regulations

Required Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of professional fee/revenue cycle coding experience or equivalent training
• Current coding experience in PICU and/or Neonatology
• Intermediate knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 coding conventions
• Knowledge of federal, state, and commercial payer coding and billing standards
• Required certification such as CPC, CCS-P, CCA, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
