Job Summary
A behavioral health care and human services provider has a current position open for a Remote Peer Recovery Specialist in Chicago.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Educating patients about substance use, available support services, treatments, and the company's program components
- Assisting with managing patients appointments with Care Team members and referrals outside of the company
- Performing duties assigned
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- 1+ years experience navigating adjunctive opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment resources and referral processes
- 24+ months in active recovery
- Ability to reach out to local and regional resources or recovery centers and help individuals leverage those resources
- Clear written and verbal communication as well as extraordinary customer service and record keeping
- Ability to engage with patients as a peer support resource rather than a clinical resource
