Remote Peer Reviewer - PM&R

Job Summary

To enhance the quality of healthcare, an independent contractor will serve as a Remote Peer Reviewer - PM&R, evaluating clinical cases for medical necessity and standards of care based on their expertise in adult physical medicine and rehabilitation, particularly with TBI experience, on an ad hoc basis.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct objective, evidence-based peer reviews of clinical cases
• Make final determinations regarding medical necessity and quality of care
• Submit reviews in a timely and professional manner using provided IT systems

Required qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
• Board certification through a recognized medical board is required, if applicable
• At least five years of full-time equivalent clinical experience providing direct patient care
• Active engagement in direct or virtual patient care for at least 20 hours per week
• Knowledge of current evidence-based clinical guidelines and treatments relevant to the conditions under review
