Remote PennHIP DVM Specialist

Job Summary

To support the evaluation of canine hip quality and joint health, the full-time Remote PennHIP DVM Specialist will review, interpret, and report on PennHIP radiographs, ensuring accurate diagnostic imaging and communication with veterinary professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate PennHIP radiographs for quality and positioning, providing virtual training as needed
• Generate comprehensive diagnostic imaging reports and assess the proficiency of new PennHIP veterinarians
• Communicate with submitting clinics and referring veterinarians regarding radiographic techniques and case updates

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
• Prior experience in orthopedics or diagnostic imaging is highly preferred
• High level of comfort using diagnostic software and database entry systems
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
