Remote Personal Financial Counselor

Job Summary

Providing financial readiness counseling and education, the full-time Remote Personal Financial Counselor will support military service members and their families by helping them develop strategies to achieve financial goals and maintain financial wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual counseling sessions through secure telephonic and audio/video communication platforms
• Provide unbiased financial information and assist clients in developing skills to meet financial goals
• Manage participant caseloads, documentation, and follow-up activities in accordance with program standards

Required Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
• Three years of experience in financial counseling or related education services
• Active certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
• Strong understanding of the military community's unique needs and challenges
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Tier II clearance
