Remote Pharmacology Research Specialist

Job Summary

To support model-driven drug discovery pipelines, the contract Remote Pharmacology Research Specialist will verify protein target assignments in bioactivity databases, assess literature for accuracy, and collaborate with researchers in a flexible, fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify protein target assignments in large-scale bioactivity databases to aid drug discovery
• Assess accuracy of UniProt IDs by analyzing primary literature and patents
• Collaborate with a team of researchers to develop next-generation discovery systems

Required qualifications

• Degree in pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or chemical biology with relevant experience
• Currently bench-active in a research scientist or associate scientist role
• Hands-on experience with binding or functional assays such as SPR, TR-FRET, and kinase assays
• Working fluency with UniProt and related workflows like SAR support and target validation
• Ability to critically read primary literature and write concise scientific notes
