Job Summary

A company that provides customized comprehensive coding review needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Physician Coding Specialist.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Coding all requested medical records
• Abstracting, coding and assigning necessary demographic and clinical data elements
• Maintaining quality and productivity according to client requirements

Qualifications Include:

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials
• Minimum 3 years outpatient coding experience in an ambulatory surgery setting.
• I-10-CM/PCS, E/M leveling, CPT
• Computer proficiency, able to research coding questions and utilize HIA’s internal educational resources
• High Speed Internet via Cable
• Independent, focused individual able to work remotely
