Job Summary

A health insurance company has a current position open for a Remote Physician Informaticist.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Apply understanding of clinical and financial metrics to various data sets
  • Apply knowledge in clinical terminology to map and group clinical codes to support various analytics projects
  • Provide clinical governance and validation on analytics solutions

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • MD or DO degree
  • 2+ years of direct clinical patient care experience post residency or fellowship
  • Current and ongoing Board Certification  an approved ABMS Medical Specialty
  • 2+ years experience in data analytics using medical claims and EMR data
  • Fluent in SQL and good understanding of programming and software development life cycle
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with the National Coding Standards
