Job Summary
A non-profit health care system needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Physician Practice Outpatient E and M Coding Reviewer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Performing chart reviews
- Reviewing all assigned applicable ICD-10 diagnoses and CPT procedure codes
- Performing ongoing audits/review of inpatient and/or outpatient medical records
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge and specialized formal training
- Certification from AHIMA or AAPC or CPC through AAPC or CCS-P
- 3-5 years of coding E/M leveling experience
- Experience performing chart reviews
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of ICD/CPT coding principles
- Experience with computer healthcare applications and hardware
