Job Summary
A health insurance company has an open position for a Remote Plastic Surgery Appeals Medical Director in Miami.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Provide guidance for clinical operational aspects of a program
- Conduct peer-to-peer clinical appeal case reviews with attending physicians or other ordering providers to discuss review determinations
- Support clinicians to ensure timely and consistent responses to members and providers
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O
- Must possess an active unrestricted medical license to practice medicine where applicable to duties being performed
- Board certification in Plastic Surgery approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties required
- 10 years of clinical experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
