- Managing in-bound press inquiries on a range of time-sensitive issues with high stakes and visibility
- Building and executing proactive communications programs for press, policy makers, and other groups
- Developing and creating a wide range of communications materials
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations or similar field
- Experience distilling complex technology or policy concepts into plain language for non-expert audiences
- Experience in reactive messaging or handling crisis communications
- 8+ years of experience in communications for a technology company, government, NGO, or political campaigns
- Experience creating messaging materials, and working collaboratively with cross-functional groups
