Job Summary
A healthcare technology company is seeking a Remote Policy Support Specialist.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Provide in-depth analysis of test claim data to support development of pre-production rationale overview
- Demonstrate an expert level of understanding of edits and ability to clearly articulate medical policies and support presentation of policies to clients
- Conduct research and analysis for medical policy items for configuration of company edits
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- 5-7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education & work within healthcare payers/claims payment processing
- Extensive knowledge of reimbursement methodologies and acceptable billing practices
- Current certified coder (CCS, CCS-P or CPC), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIA/RHIT) or RN/LPN with coding knowledge required
- Ability to interpret claim edit rules and references
