You will facilitate portfolio planning, partnering with high-level managers to align resources to strategy and provide visibility on execution within the organization. You'll lead multi-disciplinary teams on high impact and long-range strategic projects and initiatives as well as supporting other project managers to drive continuous improvement in execution excellence.
This Portfolio and Project Manager will have primary responsibility for maintaining and managing a portfolio of projects in the Services Division of ACG. This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to work at the interface of multiple functions to coordinate a portfolio of projects in addition to leading critical new product development projects to enable growth in the Services business.
Specific responsibilities include:
Act as PMCoE leader and point of contact for Services leadership for a defined portfolio of projects. Responsible for updating leadership on status, issues, and risks as well as maintaining dashboards and other essential metrics for the portfolio.
Facilitate portfolio and project review meetings, including working with project and Services leaders to set agenda, lead meetings, and engage to ensure decisions are documented and actions are gathered and addressed.
Participate with Services leadership and functional managers on prioritization of portfolio and link to strategy. Lead monthly cross-functional prioritization meetings to evaluate trade-offs and prioritize projects and proposals within the portfolio.
Provide mentoring and standard methodology recommendations to project managers assigned to projects within the portfolio he or she is responsible for.
Balance multiple projects as assigned by project management organization leader. As a senior leader, assigned projects will typically require experienced project management due to complexity and/or breadth.
Accountable for overall project objectives and execution of projects he or she directly runs.
Responsible for overall project planning, objectives, and execution of the project team.
Facilitates cross-functional discussions and alignment to common project goals and outcomes
Leads communications within team and manages partners across all functions
Work with division leadership and functional managers to address project team performance issues
