Remote PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

An IT and software engineering firm has a current position open for a Remote PostgreSQL Database Administrator.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Providing physical database support for EDB, AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and Open Source PostgreSQL databases
• Monitoring, analysis, administrating and performance tuning at both the database and application levels
• Working with the respective application and business teams to fine tune the databases

Required Skills:

• Expertise in planning, designing, building, and implementing complex database systems
• 6+ years of experience in administering on-prem/cloud PostgreSQL databases
• In depth knowledge of PostgreSQL Database architecture
• At least 6 years of experience managing in of PostgreSQL DB
• AWS cloud base Postgres database administration experience
• Expertise in implementation and maintenance of High Availability, Disaster Recovery configurations
