Job Summary
A software development company is filling a position for a Remote Principal Backend Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Driving technical direction
- Assisting/mentoring our 6 backend engineers and two technical leads
- Crafting scalable services that handle over a billion requests
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Have designed and built modular system architectures to support the rapid growth
- Are comfortable influencing cross-team standards, practices, and tools
- Enjoy mentoring other engineers and helping them grow technically
- Have led the delivery of several large backend projects
- Demonstrate expert-level skills working with AWS and Linux
- Have experience with functional programming
