Job Summary

A financial services company is filling a position for a Remote Principal Cloud Data Architect.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Designing, developing, and operationalizing performant enterprise-wide data and business intelligence applications
  • Integrating, transforming, and consolidating data from various structured and semi-structured source systems into cloud systems
  • Migrating legacy on-premise data applications to modern cloud platforms

Qualifications Include:

  • Ten plus years of experience designing, developing, and operationalizing data applications
  • Three plus years of experience designing, developing, and operationalizing cloud data applications
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure data tools: Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, SQL Server, Synapse SQL, Spark, etc
  • Expertise in relational/OLAP and NoSQL/schema-light solutions
  • Expertise in Data Lake file lifecycle management and encoding formats: JSON, Avro, Parquet, ORC, CSV, etc
  • Expertise in data presentation platforms: Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS, etc
