Job Summary

A software company is seeking a Remote Principal Data Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Assist in the migration of Database platforms
  • Create data pipelines for batch, micro-batch, and real-time data streams
  • Create, schedule, maintain, and debug ETL and ELT processes

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Technical experience in developing and releasing enterprise solutions to market
  • Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Database Engineer, Database Architect, Cloud Architect
  • 2+ years of experience working with one of the large cloud providers
  • 2+ years of experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ pipelines, architectures, and data sets
