Job Summary
A communications technology company has an open position for a Remote Principal FPGA Engineer.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Designing, implementing, and integrating of RTL for LTE and 5GNR radio access points
- Collaborating with peers across many engineering fields on the design of unique programmable logic based wireless solutions
- Defining and developing digital functions for 5G wireless radio units using a solid background in telecommunication/DSP areas
Position Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and twelve years of experience or Master’s Degree and five years of relevant experience
- Experience in FPGA design and implementation for high-speed real-time data processing applications in Intel and Xilinx products and development environments
- Proven strong FPGA logic and DSP element design background with ability to do RTL design and verification using Verilog and VHDL
- Familiarity with multi gigabit packet communication protocols (Ethernet) and corresponding hardware cores in FPGA
- Multi-gigabit design (10Gb/s Ethernet, 25Gb/s Ethernet, JESD204, 10GBASE-R/KR, or similar) experience
