Job Summary

A financial services company that offers a payment card platform has a current position open for a Remote Principal OLTP Software Engineer in Oakland.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Scale the technology as our business continues to grow while staying focused on shipping software that matters to our customers
  • Help to innovate on various aspects of the platform used by our engineering organization
  • Build a scalable, global, performant online data store system

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • We use Java, Python, & Go throughout the business but welcome experience in different programming languages
  • Experience with large scale, high performance, and secure online transaction processing systems
  • Experience in modern OLTP connectivity patterns, data sharding and Java driver development for OLTP system connections
  • Experience with transactional RDBMS such as MySQL, Postgres, MS SQL Server, or Oracle
  • Experience building scalable software platforms for medium-sized engineering organizations
