Remote Principal Software Development Engineer

Job Summary

A technology company is filling a position for a Remote Principal Software Development Engineer.

Must be able to:

• Identify present and future limits of the system and develop plans to mitigate or avoid them
• Coach and develop other engineers, including senior engineers
• Model strong technical communication and non-adversarial critical thinking

Qualifications Include:

• Has had formal leadership responsibility for cross-functional technical projects
• 10+ years of software development experience, 4+ of senior leadership
• Experience with large deployments on public cloud systems
• Familiar with acceptable and unacceptable failure modes for a platform
• Fluency with describing the impact of architectural choices to developers and business stakeholders
• Can oversee migration between systems
