Job Summary

A social media company is seeking a Remote Privacy and Data Protection Senior Counsel.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Support the development and refinement of our privacy governance documentation
  • Provide legal advice to ensure our clients' activities
  • Act as one of the main points of contact for the PDP team on incidents involving potential data disclosure

Required Skills:

  • Proven track record showing exceptional communication and project management skills
  • 7+ years of legal experience supporting and advising businesses on global privacy and data protection related concerns
  • Proven experience demonstrative of your ability to be solution-oriented, able to calibrate risk, and focused on customer-service
  • Bar admission or equivalent and in good standing to practice law in your relevant jurisdiction
  • Experience working in or building, privacy and data protection programs
  • Knowledge of global privacy laws, regulations, standards and related regimes including but not limited to CCPA, GDPR, and LGPD
