Job Summary
A biology technology company has a current position open for a Remote Privacy Counsel Associate Director.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Counseling and collaborating with multiple internal clients to advise on applicable data privacy law issues
- Providing counsel related to advanced and cutting-edge data use as well as data mapping, classification, and more
- Partnering with product leaders to develop and drive a holistic privacy strategy
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Law degree from an ABA accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials
- 5+ years’ experience within a compliance, legal, audit and/or risk function
- 12+ years or relevant legal experience and at least one Data Protection and/or Privacy certification
- Can collaborate with other attorneys in the Legal Department as a privacy subject matter expert
- Able to review issues related to local marketing and data analytics initiatives
- Can develop and review Data Protection Impact Assessments and other internal privacy and data security assessments
