Remote Privacy Lawyer

Job Summary

A financial software firm is seeking a Remote Privacy Lawyer.

Must be able to:

• Track global data protection laws, regulations, and standards, and advise on them to provide guidance
• Participate in large, cross-functional projects involving governance, protection, and request tools for data
• Oversee the drafting of and regular updates to privacy-related notices, disclosures, transparency reports

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• JD (license to practice law in the United States; 8+ years as a practicing attorney
• 5+ years of substantive privacy experience
• Possess in-house experience at a financial services company
• Expertise in U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws, regulations, standards, and practices
• Comfort engaging directly with government agencies and regulators on complex issues
