Job Summary
A company that provides point-of-sale solutions to small businesses has a current position open for a Remote Privacy Legal Counsel.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Partnering closely with stakeholders across all functions and business units to provide both project-specific and day-to-day support and legal guidance
- Providing specialist advice and guidance on all aspects of privacy laws and regulations within the business, including but not limited to the GDPR, Bill 64 (Quebec), PIPEDA, the CCPA/CPRA, CASL and data breach notification requirements;
- Supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of our personal data inventories and flow diagrams
Position Requirements Include:
- 1-2 years of experience in a law firm and/or as in-house counsel
- Experience interpreting and providing practical advice on the application of privacy laws and regulations in a fast-paced, preferably international, environment f experience in a law firm and/or as in-house counsel
- Strong knowledge of Data Protection/Privacy law and working knowledge of Commercial/Contract law
- Professional-level proficiency in English
