Job Summary
A developer of speech recognition applications needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Profee Medical Coder.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing medical records to identify pertinent diagnoses and procedures relative to the patient's health care encounter
- Abstracting appropriate information from the medical record based on the guidelines provided by the client and after a thorough review of the medical record
- Maintaining effective and professional communication skills
Qualifications for this position include:
- CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P, CPC, or CIC required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of professional fee coding experience
- Understands medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, pharmacology and disease processes
