Job Summary
A developer of speech recognition applications is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Profee Surgical Coder.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Reviewing medical records to identify pertinent diagnoses and procedures
- Soliciting clarification from the physician regarding ambiguous or conflicting documentation
- Abstracting appropriate information from the medical record
Qualifications for this position include:
- CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P, CPC, or CIC
- 2 years of professional fee coding experience
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding principles and guidelines
- Understands medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, surgical technology, and pharmacology
- Must pass coding proficiency test
