Job Summary

A teaching medical center is seeking a Remote Professional Coder I in Jackson.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Retrieving information from Electronic Health Record
• Conducting independent research to promote knowledge of clinical topics
• Verifying information abstracted in coding and billing systems

Qualifications for this position include:

• Occasional travelling to offsite locations
• Must be able to obtain one medical coding certification
• Knowledge of electronic health record
• Knowledge of coding procedures and systems
