Remote Professional Coding Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Professional Coding Manager-Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the enterprise coding service, ensuring compliance with coding policies and procedures
• Develop and oversee training for HIM coding staff, focusing on ICD-9 and transition to ICD-10
• Monitor coding accuracy, accounts receivable performance, and staff productivity while fostering communication between staff and leadership

Required Qualifications

• High School graduate (G.E.D) required; Associate's degree or 2-3 years post-secondary education preferred
• Must have one of the following coding certifications at time of hire: CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H
• Minimum of five years experience in healthcare coding (CPT-4, ICD-9, HCPCS) in a hospital or provider-based setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology required
