Job Summary

A healthcare company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Professional Fee Coder III.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Maintains records to be used for reconciliation and charge follow up
• Reviews, abstracts, and processes services from the surgical operative report
• Assists with Evaluation and Management (E&M) audits and other reimbursement reviews

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent required
• Specific training related to CPT procedural coding and ICD9 CM diagnostic coding
• Working knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, disease processes
• demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS-P, CPC, CCA, COC, or AHIMA certification must be maintained
• Minimum of 3 years coding to include 1 year of complex coding experience in a health care environment and or medical office setting
