Job Summary
A non-profit, multi-specialty, academic medical center is filling a position for a Remote Professional Fee Medical Coder III.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Compare and reconcile daily patient schedules
- Maintain records to be used for reconciliation and charge follow up
- Investigate and resolve charge errors
Qualifications for this position include:
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
- Specific training related to CPT procedural coding and ICD9 CM diagnostic coding
- Working knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, disease processes
- CCS-P, CPC, RHIT, CCA, RHIA, or COC
- 3 years coding to include 1 year of complex coding experience in a health care environment
