Job Summary
A non-profit organization that helps people succeed in education and the workplace needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Proposal Writer II.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Write, edit, and format persuasive content for low- to high-complexity proposal documents within given deadline / timeframe by following proposal writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone
- Obtain assistance from other departments and subject matter experts as required to capture, shape, and synthesize content to reflect a cohesive message, written in one voice
- Participate in overall proposal development process from kickoff meetings through submission; uses proposal plans, schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, Journalism, or related area required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired
- At least 3 years of professional writing experience, including proposal writing and experience writing large volumes of complex content
- Ability to prioritize and multitask within a face-paced and deadline-driven environment with fluctuating priorities
- Proven exceptional editorial and document management skills, including adhering to style, grammar, usage, and branding
- Flexibility with schedule to work as needed in order to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to perform independent research to understand writing topics
