Job Summary

A not-for-profit organization needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Public Policy and Advocacy Director.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and coordinate federal legislative and regulatory activities in support of organization
  • Engage Our National Network in Public Policy Activities
  • Serve as a Resource to Congress, Government Agencies, and Other Organizations

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Based in metropolitan DC area to attend coalition, congressional, and administration meetings
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum three years of relevant work experience on Capitol Hill or in similar federal government-affairs position
  • Excellent oral communications and writing skills
  • Direct and grassroots lobbying skills
  • Knowledge about federal health care programs
