Job Summary

An IT company has a current position open for a Remote Python Instrumentation Engineer in Baltimore.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Contributing to the development of our instrumentation agent
  • Authoring security rules in Python, C and RegEx to detect and defend common attack patterns
  • Learning and reversing engineer popular ORM frameworks native to the Python ecosystem

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Must love to code and have a strong passion for making software more secure
  • True scientist and think about algorithms and regular expressions while you sleep
  • Python expert with a strong understanding of C, Linux and Apache
  • Experience writing Python using Django, web2py, TurboGears, Flask and/or Pyramid
  • Experience with popular Python ORM frameworks
  • Experience building Python packaging tools such as pip, easy_install and buildout
